Privacy policy

TroyDesk (troydesk.com) is a small informational site. We do not sell bullion and we do not require an account.

Displayed check/wire is delayed spot plus last verified dealer premium.

What we collect

• If you email us, we receive whatever you put in the message.
• Our host (currently Netlify) and domain provider (Porkbun) may log standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested, to run and secure the site.
• If you click an affiliate link, the dealer and their affiliate network (for example Awin or ShareASale) may set cookies to credit a sale. That is their privacy policy, not ours.

What we do not do (today)

• No user accounts or passwords
• No account and no general mailing list
• We do not sell your email or browsing data

Price alerts

Product pages include an optional form: email me when this product drops below a delivered price you choose. If you submit it, Netlify Forms stores your email address, the product name, the product id, and your target price. Once a day we compare that target with the cheapest in-stock delivered price. If the price is below your target, we email you the price, the dealer, and a link to the product page. Each drop below your target is emailed once. If the price rises above the target and later drops below it again, that is a new alert. The email has a one-click unsubscribe link that deletes the signup. We use the address only for that alert. We do not sell it. You can also ask us to delete it by emailing hello@troydesk.com.

Cookies

The comparison pages themselves do not need an account cookie. Affiliate and hosting cookies may still be set when you visit or click out.

Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to see page views and general traffic sources on troydesk.com. A click on a dealer Buy button also sends a dealer_click event with the dealer id, product, page, and order size. Google may set cookies and process data as described in Google's privacy policy. We do not use Analytics to sell your information or to run remarketing.
